Mr. Frank is back in the CH with a new Club!

Hi people, I am back from a short vacation at Snowmass Village of Colorado. Yes, we (the family of 4) skied for about a week and yes I did enjoy my life besides the CH. But this is not the point. The point is that I could not sit and write while I was in those beautiful mountains. Did you guys miss me?

Alright, who I am kidding, I am not writing for you guys. I know, I know, and I know. I have gotten a few of you “readers” stopping by because of someone else. Fine, whatever, let’s continue with my story with Mr. Frank in the CH, shall we?

Here it goes…

About a week after his being away from the CH, Mr. Frank was talking again. I thought that I was dreaming when I heard that familiar and characteristic tone in his voice — Don’t ask me why I was listening to the CH while I was sleeping. Anyhoo, once I heard him, I became alert enough to want to know the content in the voice. Unfortunately, I could not locate my earphone, which forced me to get out of the bed and take the phone to another room so that I could turn up the volume.

“As I said to some of you before, I really like to parallel current China to the Qin Dynasty as these two eras are very similar.” I heard that a few times before and guessed the stories following that intro. “The Osman/Ottoman Empire, you see, has not gone in the reality. I meant as long as you understand how extreme power operates, you could see the world is still controlled by only a few emperors and their close relations. The rulers won’t let go of the powers without a fight!”

Sounds familiar?

To say that I believed every word of what the faceless voice said would have been an exaggeration. Honestly, what Mr. Frank said reminds me too much of the Deep State Theory, and such conspiracies would have a hard time penetrating my skull. But in the reality, we know of Kim’s Empire of North Korea, Li’s Empire of Singapore, Mao/Zhou’s Empire of China, Jiang’s Empire of Taiwan. What we have not heard enough, however, is that the U.S. is no different. The U.S., in his words, is controlled by a few families. What the hell, which ones? The Kennedy’s, the Bush’s, or the Clinton’s? How are they related to Emperor Osman?

Unfortunately, it’s 4 am-ish and my brain wasn’t fully functioning. I was not in a condition to voice my doubts. What is important here tho is that I could not wait to find a safe place to be alone so that I could speak to him, loud and clearly, directly, before he disappears again, I was determined to tell him about what’s on my mind for all these weeks when he was not around!

So as soon as I walked into my office, which was about 5 hours later, tightly closed the door behind me, I raised my hand and got myself invited on the Speakers’ stage, for the second time. This time, I was in an urge to speak, “I am so happy that you decided to come back to the CH.” Seconds following a short pause with no one speaking in his room, I jumped in and rumbled something like, “I was afraid that I would not have an opportunity to let you know personally what a rare find you are. I felt so lucky that the CH brought you to my virtual life, which I believe that would have never happened in the real-life. What you said is so unique and novel to me and I find myself wishing to hear more. It’s so hard for me to believe that you were born and raised in China since I, for one, have not met anyone from China with such a high level of empathy as yours.” I possibly also mumbled something else, but before I could fully express my excitement, the room ended.

Knowing that Mr. Frank has a habit of ending rooms to switch topics, to control the direction of discussions, or to rid of people with whom he does not want to deal, I was shocked and thought I must have said something truly offensive to him!

“What did I say wrong?” I asked as soon as I joined a new room in which I found those speakers and listeners who I frequently see in Mr. Frank’s room.

“No worries, what you said was great and you did nothing wrong.” One male voice (Seb) was trying to comfort me and several others echoed.

“I was going to suggest him not to leave the CH permanently but just change the frequency and length of each time he would be coming on, say, he could schedule a weekly meeting and each one for just a few hours, rather than…” But before I completed my sentence, I heard this female voice (Sookie), “It’s not possible.” Her confident voice continued, “He must have given it some serious thoughts and made the decision rationally. I don’t think he would change his mind easily.”

It was the very first time that I spoke in this voice chat App. Before I had gathered sufficient courage to offer another suggestion, Mr. Frank joined in the room and said,

“I appreciate the fact you guys like to join me in my room and I have bonded with you here at the CH. One of the reasons that I came back also because I am missing you all as well and I cherish our friendship. I told you before I left the CH last time was because I thought that I would have nothing new to say. But now I think that it’s okay, if we run out of things to speak about, we can always have some fun by enjoying music together here.”

See, I just knew that he was a human being, after all!

At the night on that same day, Mr. Frank not only got back on the CH once again but also brought us exciting news, “I was delighted to find out that the updated CH now allows me to create clubs without waiting to be approved, so I made us a club named Spirit of the Knights. This is our club and all of us are co-founders of this club. It would be fun for us to hang out in our club in the future!”

He exclaimed. He sounded as if he would be staying for good this time.

“I am very hopeful for our club to become an example for the Chinese-speaking people here in the CH. As I noticed that people who join us in our room rarely argue with each other, even though they tend to do so in other rooms. I hope that we keep speaking respectfully and I believe only in this way we can effectively communicate. If we, by exchanging different views, could reach a consensus, that would be great. But if not, we at least could feel that we can express ourselves clearly, safely, and freely. We should not ridicule or look down on anyone who holds different views from ours. I believe if we keep such a way of speaking, it at least won’t put us in a bad mood or leave us feeling like a waste of time each time we come here. After all, this is a social App for us to have fun together and we could take the advantages that the CH offers.” He laid out more details.

I totally agree.

Yet, if only I had his way with words!

He usually takes the lead in just about every topic. He speaks naturally, peacefully, and as a matter of factly. His audience is always so impressed that they would mostly just ask him questions. No one is in a mood to ignite arguments in his room, although I am pretty sure that they, too, disagree with him, from time to time.

The Knights club has grown like a weed, from 16 founding members to over 600 in just a few weeks.

Yet the club founder, Mr. Frank, has left us, once again, after having been back for about a week, for the second time, at the moment when his club attracted about 400 members. This time, sadly, he deactivated his CH account.

We lost him for good!
